Daniel, also known as Belteshazzar, was a man like us that was made the head of godly and ungodly men. He proved that the power of God surpasses that of the devil. He was knowledgeable, and not afraid perhaps of the evil workers in his city.
I said, “Belteshazzar, chief of the magicians, I know that the spirit of the holy gods is in you, and no mystery is too difficult for you. Here is my dream; interpret it for me, Dan 4:9.
He was made a chief over the magicians. And by the power of God, he was able to master mysteries and interpret dreams.
At a certain time, some people brought somethings into a house where I lived while it was still under construction. Afterwards, what I began to see in that house was beyond my comprehension: I could have packed out of the house at the sight of those things, but I opted to stay to prove that the power of God was far exceeding over that of the devil.
But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry, 2 Tim 4:5.
During the first night I spent in the house, I heard some rattling sound from the things that were dropped in the house: the sac and the items contained therein continued to rattle all through the night.
You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, Ps 91:5.
By God’s gracious act, I did not fear the terror of the night. However, I did not know what to do at first; for I was weak and lonely. In the midst of the act, I prayed with the sword of the Spirit. It was an amazing deed that the power of God came down in the weakness and in the pit, and struck the demon, the sac and the items contained therein; and set me free from wiles of the devil. The rattling noise stopped at that moment!
I was not hurt by the evil. I slept well that night without experiencing those evil things again; and I did not faint in the adversity either. For if thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small, Prov 24:10.
It was a wondrous work of God. By early in the morning, the people who dropped the sac and the items contained therein suddenly came and carried them away, and they were put to shame. Let all mine enemies be ashamed and sore vexed: let them return and be ashamed suddenly, Ps 6:10.
