Alleluia to the King of kings! Salvation belongeth unto the Lord: thy blessing is upon thy people. Selah, Ps 3:8
The power of God far exceeds all other powers and salvation belongs only to God. The power of God is made manifest in his works: I travelled from a capital city to another capital city, criss-crossing towns and villages. Then on reaching my destination, after the 125-mile trip, I was exhausted and needed to sleep. I slept in the car and woke up in the midnight to pray. As I began to pray something strange happened: the packed car began to move forward on its own, as though it was pushed from the back. I prayed again: I noticed that the same thing happened.
What could have led to that having prayed in the same car in other cities?
Then I came out of the vehicle that midnight and walked to the back of the car to check if there was something or someone pushing the car. But I could not find anything or anyone. I realized it was the work of nought – the work of idols. They that choose idols are an abomination.
Behold, ye are of nothing, and your work of nought: an abomination is he that chooseth you, Isa 41:24.
The evil work was resisted in prayer and by works. I prayed and gave thanks to God, despising the evil work, I slept in the same car and put all my trust in the Lord God, who saves:
They said, “Put your trust in the Lord Jesus Christ and you and your family will be saved from the punishment of sin.” Acts 16:31. Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you, Jam 4:7.
I had, by faith, thanked the Lord and submitted myself to him, while trusting him. The Lord quenched the evil work and gave me peace that night and afterwards, and the car was spared of the work of nought. For he is the Ever-present help in times of trouble.
God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble, Ps 46:1.
I would live in that city, Uyo, for some years, witnessing some untold wonders and dreadful works of the Lord. In all, when things which are inanimate move, or evil works which are of nought are noticed anywhere, let us remember that the Almighty God is God over all creations: the gods, the magicians, the astrologers and the worshippers of false gods. Let us stand by his grace and walk by faith.
May the Almighty God and the Father of Our Lord Jesus Christ be glorified and adored for his mighty acts in times of need and in all situations.
